Auditing
A full-time matriculated student in good standing may, with the permission of the instructor, attend a course as an auditor, without charge. Registration is required.Part-time or non-matriculated students who wish to audit a course may do so, with the permission of the instructor, provided they register for the course and pay the tuition charge and any applicable fees.
An auditor receives a grade of AU and does not participate in course examinations or other work except at the option of the instructor. A student may change from audit to credit status no later than the second week of classes.
The deadline to change a class from credit to audit depends on the length of the class and is the same date as the deadline to withdraw from a class. Academic deadlines are posted online. Click here for a link to the deadlines for on-ground programs.
To register for an audit class, you must first obtain permission of the instructor. To do this, you may:
- Pick up a registration card in the Registrar's Office and bring it to the instructor to be signed. Return it to the Registrar's Office to be registered.
OR - E-mail the instructor with the request to audit his/her class. Print out his/her e-mail reply, approving the registration and bring it to the Registrar's Office to be registered. You will have to fill out a registration card at that time.
