Varick Street - Brewery

Varick Street

Ever-growing home to some of the area’s best food-and-beverage establishments, Varick Street is home to the F.X. Matt Brewing Company (the home of Saranac drinks and numerous concert events, founded in 1888), an Irish pub, a distillery, a brewpub, traditional American bars, a diner, and a Mediterranean restaurant.

Baggs Square - Tailor and the Cook and Utica Coffee

Bagg’s Square

Listed on the state and National Register of Historic Places, the historic Bagg’s Square East District is home to numerous businesses, local food and drink options, and upscale loft apartments.

From a spot of coffee at Utica Coffee Roasting Company, to dinner at the nationally-recognized farm to table eatery The Tailor and the Cook with drinks to follow at Gerber’s 1933 Tavern, there’s something for any time of day in Utica’s Bagg’s Square District.

Consumer Square

New Hartford’s Consumer District

The largest suburb of Utica, the town of New Hartford offers a myriad of retail and dining options, from some of the nation’s largest franchises to mom and pop stores and restaurants. Sangertown Square Mall, Consumer Square, and The Orchard are just a few of the many locations within New Hartford to find great food, drink, and shopping!

Utica Downtown 1

Downtown Utica

Get to know a new downtown in the heart of Utica! Spanning the length of Genesee Street from Oneida Square to Franklin Square and from Park Avenue to the Route 5/8/12 Arterial, downtown Utica’s revitalization springs from the growing local businesses moving to the city’s center along with its many venue spots for events and concerts.

From the fine arts on display at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute to the stacks of the Utica Public Library, touring Broadway productions on stage at the Stanley Center for the Arts, and a myriad of shops and products, Downtown Utica has something for everyone.
