Transfer Credit (Undergraduate Students)

Transferring Credit TO Utica University from Another Institution

  • Courses taken BEFORE you started attending Utica University

    - we require an official transcript. This is usually done during the admissions process, and is sent to Admissions for evaluation*.
     
  • Courses taken AFTER you started attending Utica University

    - you must complete a Permission to Study at Another Institution form and have it approved prior to taking the class.
     
  • Courses taken in your last year of study at Utica University

    - if you want to take a course during your last thirty (30) credit hours of your degree, you must complete a Permission to Study at Another Institution form and have it approved prior to taking the class.

*NOTE: If your adviser feels that a transfer course should be assigned a different Utica University equivalent course, s/he must send a memo (paper or e-mail) to the Registrar to that effect. 

Transferring Credit FROM Utica University to Another Institution

You simply need to request a transcript to be sent. You can send it directly to your new school, or you can have it sent to you and you can forward it with the rest of your application materials. Do NOT open the official transcript. Place it in another envelope and then mail it.
