What We Do
The Utica University Mail Services Department processes and distributes all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (4:30 p.m. in Summer)
Outgoing Mail:
- All USPS mail is metered on site. All outgoing mail must have a completed mail slip that shows the sending department and budget code. Each month the postage will be charged back to the budget code.
- UPS or FedEx packages must have a printed label affixed and be ready to ship.
- All outgoing mail needs to be dropped off at the mailroom no later than 3:30pm in order to go out the same day. If after 3:30pm, it will go out the next business day.
- Personal mail (letters and packages) can be brought to the Mail Services window for processing with payment. Payment method can be cash or check and must be made at time of service.
Incoming Mail:
- All incoming first class mail and inter-campus mail will be sorted and delivered to Faculty/Department mailboxes or via Courier as appropriate for your location.
- All incoming packages are scanned and tracked through our QTrak database system. Once scanned, an email notification will let you know there is something to be picked up at the Mail Services window. Note: If your packages are normally delivered by the Utica University Courier, they will deliver as usual. All packages must be signed for upon delivery.
Student Mail:
- All incoming first class mail and packages will be scanned and tracked. A notification email will let each student know to pick up their mail/package at the Mail Services window. The student must present ID and sign for the mail before it will be released to them. No mail will be released to anyone but the person it is addressed to. No exceptions.
- Please remember all mail and packages are delivered in bulk and sorted so it may take up to 24 hours before mail/packages are available for pick up during peak times such as the beginning of the semester.
- To ensure proper delivery, please make sure all mail and packages are addressed to you as follows:
