Utica University’s 80th Anniversary Community Dinner

The Community Dinner will commemorate a special moment in Utica University's History at the Historic Doubletree Hotel Utica. September thirtieth marks the day of our first Convocation in 1946. The Community Dinner will pay homage to that first gathering of Pioneers, eight decades ago, when our founders charted a bold course for this institution. Let's gather in celebration of all that we have accomplished and set our sights on the great things that lie ahead for Utica University.
All proceeds from the Community Dinner will help expand funding for student programming and co-curricular experiences, including entertainment, activities, conference attendance, and more.
$250 per person. This event is open to the public.

The Utica University football team welcomes fellow New York powerhouse SUNY Cortland to town in what is a battle between the Empire 8's top two teams from last season. This clash always has huge postseason implications- and this Pioneer squad with tons of returning talent looks to notch a signature win. At halftime, we will honor the Utica Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026, and we will hold a dedication ceremony in honor of late Professor Emeritus of Finance Allyn R. Earl ’62 for whom our press box will be named. Feed Our Vets will be on-site to collect donations of canned and non-perishable goods.

Utica women's tennis takes the court on Homecoming to face off with the formidable Golden Flyers in a big Empire 8 battle. The Pioneers will be searching for some big wins after a 2025 campaign that saw them double their roster size and fall just short of a few key victories.

This particular rivalry always produces exciting games. The Pioneers, who were inches away from an Empire 8 Championship appearance in 2025, now look to a young core of local playmakers to shine in the Homecoming nightcap.
