UC Performing and Fine Arts Department presents "Trifles"
Murder Mystery based on True Story
Like a good murder mystery? The Utica College Performing and Fine Arts Department will present Trifles, a play by Susan Glaspell, directed by Dr. Rachel Wolfe.
The performances will take place Nov. 4 through 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. in Strebel Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door with cash, or in advance online, $5 general admission and $3 for students.
Trifles was written in 1916 by Glaspell, a newspaper reporter, and is based on a true story she covered. The play details the murder of a man in his own farmhouse that is investigated by several of his neighbors. Most terrifying, the main suspect of this horrific crime is his own wife.
All audience members will be required to wear masks while inside Utica College buildings regardless of vaccination status, and will need to sign in with contact information just in case.
