Biography
Allie grew up in Canandaigua, NY. Allie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology-Child Life from Utica University in 2020 and joined the University as a clinical counselor in January 2022. Allie received her M.S.W. from SUNY Brockport in 2022 then passed her LMSW exam. She is currently working towards her LCSW. Allie uses a dynamic psychotherapy approach with CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psycho-education to teach coping skills to manage mental health symptoms. Allie’s goal is to have client’s leave a session with one tool, thought, or strategy they can use on their own. Allie believes mental health work takes time, patience and intention.
Allie enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie and her two dogs, Poncho and Nutmeg. Allie loves playing and watching various sports, but especially women’s soccer. She practices mindfulness to get the most out of all new experiences. Allie is a clinical counselor located in the Clark Athletic Center where she works with individual students and the athletic teams on campus.
