Biography
Professor Kinsella began her career as a occupational therapy educator in 2009 at Utica College as an adjunct instructor in the occupational therapy program. In 2012 she assumed the full time assistant professor position, focusing on courses associated with children's practice, professional roles development and advanced professional roles. Currently, she has assumed the role of occupational therapy weekend coordinator.
She received her doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in May of 2017. Her areas of interest include developing and implementing interprofessional education courses and experiences for student within the school of Health Professions and Education. In addition, Annmarie facilitated the implementation of an innovative fieldwork education model. She completed the Advanced Practice Certificate in Teaching in the Digital Age from Thomas Jefferson University in January of 2014. Annmarie earned her Masters Degree at New School for Social Research in Utica, New York in Health Services Management and Bachelors Degree in Science and Occupational Therapy at Utica College of Syracuse University.
She assumed a faculty role here at Utica College with 23 years of clinical experience including most recently pre-school and school-based practice, sub-acute and acute rehabilitation and clinical management. She has fulfilled many years as a fieldwork educator for occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant students. In addition to the advanced practice in the foundations of teaching occupational therapy she holds a certification in Sensory Integration.
