Biography
Deanna Errico, PT, DPT, ATC joined Utica University as an assistant professor of physical therapy in 2012. She teaches courses in pharmacology, diagnostic imaging, and prevention and wellness as well as providing guidance for students as an advisor.
Dr. Errico is a licensed physical therapist with clinical expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine. She has presented at national, district, and state athletic training conferences on diverse topics, including the consideration of a sustainable environment in health professions, pharmacology considerations in athletes and pediatric athletes, and the history of athletic training.
Errico has served many roles in her state organization the New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association (NYSATA), serving as secretary, regional representative, president-elect, president, and past president, as well as chair of the Hall of Fame committee and then the Awards committee (current). She currently shares a co-chair position for Governmental Affairs for NYSATA. At the District level she serves District 2 (National Athletic Trainers’ Association - NATA) as the chair of the Value Committee which culls and curates a Resource Bank for the membership - populated with research journal articles and best practice resources. She also co-chairs a committee that honors members of District 1 and District 2 of the NATA (Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association ’49 Club) which is their Hall of Fame.
Additionally, she has served on various academic committees at Utica University, including search committees, institutional effectiveness task force and committee, honorary degree committee, and Academic Portfolio Review Task Force.
