Biography
Professor of Practice Donna Dolansky joined the Utica College faculty full-time in 2016. She received her M.B.A. in General Business in 2016 from Utica College and her B.S.in Accounting from Boston College. She received her CPA from Massachusetts in 2003 and her CPA in New York in 2007.
Professor Dolansky has been working in the accounting industry since 2000. She spent 7 years working at the public accounting Ernst & Young LLP in Boston, with a 2 year rotation in their London office. She then moved to upstate New York and worked at NBT Bank in various accounting and finance roles, overseeing financial reporting and budgeting, mergers and acquisitions and financial analysis and planning. Her outside interests include outdoor activities, reading, travel and spending time with her family
Professor Dolansky is not currently involved in academic research. She participates in webinars on current accounting updates (typically quarterly) and takes a minimum of 24 hours of continuing professional education credits in order to maintain her CPA license. She subscribes to several accounting magazines in order to stay current with trends in the industry.
Professor Dolansky is currently chair of the Business Department Faculty Teaching committee.
