Our Mission
The mission of the Applied Ethics Institute at Utica College is to promote reflection on ethical matters in healthcare, education, business, public service and society at large. The Institute serves as a community resource through joint research, and seminars and lectures.Core Values

Strategic Directions
The Applied Ethics Institute's strategic plan emphasizes the Institute's leadership role in integrating applied ethics research, education, and practice to improve the community. The three interrelated strategic directions outlined below provide a framework to advance the Institute's new vision and mission.
- Public Engagement - Create an effective forum for public engagement about applied ethics issues in health, education, business, public service, science and technology, the law, and the environment.
- Partnerships - Cultivate excellence in applied ethics research through partnership and collaboration within Utica College and with other academic centres and institutes locally, nationally, and internationally.
