Travel Information
Travel to UticaThe closest commercial airports to Utica are Syracuse (88 km west of Utica) and Albany (148 km east of Utica). From either city, you can travel by train or bus, or book a taxi or limousine service to Utica. Train and bus services are also available from New York, Boston, and other major cities. We strongly recommend booking airport transportation well in advance of your arrival or departure.
We encourage new international and incoming exchange students to arrive on the international arrival date, usually the Monday or Tuesday before classes start, and returning students to arrive three days before the start of the semester. Please notify International Education of your travel plans. OIE provides a courtesy pick-up for all new international and exchange students on international arrival day. Please note that outbound exchange students and returning international students are responsible for arranging their own airport transfers.
