The F. Eugene Romano Executive Lecture Series
Presented by the Business and Economics Department of Utica University in cooperation with the Office of Advancement
The F. Eugene Romano Executive Lecture Series invites top business leaders to share their experiences in the world of management and leadership with the Utica University community.
All lectures take place at Clark City Center, Brvenik Center for Business Education, at 7:00 p.m. (Buses will be leaving Strebel Circle at 6:30 p.m. and returning at approximately 9:00 p.m.)

Dan Kalil '00
Dan Kalil, a 2000 graduate of then-Utica College of Syracuse University, has dedicated his career to the dynamic and ever-evolving field of cybersecurity. Beginning as a computer forensics examiner, Dan's expertise and leadership propelled him through various roles, leading to his appointment as CEO of GreyCastle Security in 2020. Under his guidance, GreyCastle Security positioned itself as an industry leader in cybersecurity.
In 2023, GreyCastle Security was acquired by DeepSeas, where Dan currently serves as the Global Vice President of Client Success and Professional Services. His impact in the cybersecurity space, however, extends beyond these titles. As a co-founder of Assured Information Security (AIS), Dan continues to shape the future of cybersecurity, serving as Chief Commercial Officer, while also lending his expertise as a Senior Advisor to AssuredTek.
With a Master's in Cybersecurity from Utica and multiple industry recognitions, Dan has led major efforts in mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and the launch of new business ventures. His extensive experience makes him a thought leader in the intersection of business strategy and cybersecurity. Dan is an active member of our community, supporting numerous charitable causes and currently serving on the Board of Directors for First Source Federal Credit Union.
Dan resides in Sauquoit, NY, with his wife Dr. Marissa Kalil (Utica class of 2000) and their two children.
