More about Student Affairs
Utica University is a place where people come to receive a first-rate education. But they typically come away with a great deal more than that. Each person who studies here builds his or her own personal scrapbook of memorable Utica experiences, milestones, and friendships that last a lifetime. That is why so many continue their association with the institution long after graduation day.
Making the most of the college experience involves becoming actively involved both inside and outside the classroom. In fact, studies show that college students spend more than 75% of their time outside of class, which means that the majority of your time in college might involve such things as getting involved in a student organization or club, becoming a student-athlete or campus leader, completing an internship, attending a concert, lecture, exhibit, or play, studying abroad, volunteering, working, or just hanging out with friends.
"Each person who studies here builds his or her own personal scrapbook of memorable Utica experiences, milestones, and friendships that last a lifetime."
The Division of Student Affairs provides a wide range of programs and services designed to enhance the ability of students to make the most of their college experience. The Student Affairs staff seeks to provide a living and learning environment that inspires personal and professional growth, promotes social awareness, and challenges students while supporting them in achieving their full potential as individuals, members of the Utica family, and citizens of a global community.
Whether you are a new student adjusting to the college environment, a sophomore looking to get more involved on campus, a junior seeking to explore what you can do after graduation, or a senior in the midst of a job search or applying to graduate school, the Student Affairs staff is here to assist and support you.
Should you have any questions or concerns about student life at Utica University, please do not hesitate to call or stop by the Office of Student Affairs, on the ground floor of the Strebel Student Center. Your success is very important to us!
Warmly,
Rich Racioppa
Dean of Students

The co-curriculum is an exceptionally important part of a student's college experience and Utica University's Academic Promise.
