Economics at Utica
One thing I enjoyed about Utica's Economics major is the really valuable knowledge about finance and economic theory your professors pass along to you.
What You'll Learn
Economics is the study of the production, development, distribution, and management of wealth and of the dynamics of economic interactions between individuals and groups. Economics majors at Utica study advanced economic theory, completing their work with a semester-long senior project research paper, focusing on a contemporary social or economic issue.

A Degree That Works
The major in economics can open a path to employment in government, business, labor, research, or education. There is a demand for those who are broadly trained in the liberal arts without sacrificing the firm foundation of depth in analytical thinking. This program also provides the basis for graduate work in economics and law, or for training for high executive positions.
Student Voices: Jalaluddin Jamshidy
A brief discussion with Jalaluddin Jamshidy, an international student from Afghanistan majoring in economics and minoring in government, about how of all the institutions he looked at, it was Utica University that stood out among the pack.
